Bulk Issuing Work Orders

For issuing of multiple work request in the maintenance console under the maintenance domain on WebCentral, users can issue multiple work requests at once.

  1. Navigate to the Maintenance Console under the Maintenance domain on WebCentral.
  2. Under “Assigned to Work Order”, select the work requests that are eligible for issuing. If a work request has an arrow button (as shown below), it indicates that the work request is eligible for issuing.

  1. After selecting all the requests that need to be issued, locate the Issue option at the top of the screen.

  1. When the Issue action is selected, a confirmation pop-up appears on the screen.
  2. To continue issuing, click the Yes button.

  1. The progress status of the bulk issuing process can be seen at the top of the screen, showing the percentage of completion.

  1. After the bulk issuing process is completed, a pop-up message will appear notifying the user about the completion status and the location where the newly issued work requests can be found.

After selecting Yes, the bulk issuing of work requests will begin in the background. While this process runs in the background, users can continue performing other tasks in the maintenance console, such as scheduling or approval of work requests.

Bulk Schedule and Issue Error Handling

While performing the process of bulk issuing in the maintenance console, if some work requests fail to issue, the system displays a message pop-up informing the user about the number of work requests that failed to process and the location where those failed work requests can be found. For example, if a user issues a total of 10 work requests out of which 8 issue successfully and 2 fail, a message will appear showing this information:

Resolution

  1. In the Message, click the OK button.
  2. Click the Quick Filters drop-down.
  3. Select the Failed Last Issue Operation.

  1. Reissue failed work requests.
  • All failed work requests will be listed under this filter.
  • Reissue each failed work request individually.
  • If a work request fails again, a standard error message will be displayed.

It is recommended not to select more than 100 work requests at a time while performing the bulk issue operation.
