The Space Console is a multi-faceted tool for managing your space and occupancy. With its filter, reporting, and export features, it also operates as a basis for your reports. You can set the data you need, export the data and floor plans, and print the exported files.
With the Space Console, you can perform such tasks as:
- load floor plan drawings
- review the total area of a set of rooms or floors
- find a set of floors or rooms that meet certain criteria
- find vacant, at capacity, and over-capacity rooms
- highlight floor plans by vacancy, department assignment, division assignment, and type
- find an employee's room on the floor plan
- move an employee to a new room
- generate an occupancy plan
- create new employees, buildings, floors, rooms, divisions, departments, room categories, and room types
- change a room's properties, such as its department assignment or use
- launch reports
- export data to Excel or Word
- export floor plans to Word or PDF
The following features are not available when accessing the Space Console from Foundations:
- load Revit 3D plans in the 3D Navigator
- create employee teams and assign space to employee teams ( team space )
Start the Space Console from:
- Archibus SaaS: Foundations / Space and Moves / Space Console
- Archibus SaaS: Space / Space Manager / Space Console
- Space / Space Inventory / Space Manager (workspace transaction mode is not set)
- Space / Occupancy / Manager

Notes:
- There are two versions of the Space Console view. In Foundations, you access the
ab-sp-console.axvw, which does not support Team Space and the 3D Navigator. The full Space Console (ab-sp-console-trans.axvw) is available from the Space SaaS module, Space Inventory application, and Occupancy application. The two Space Console views operate in the same manner and share the same set of help topics. - The first time you load the Space Console, it needs to load many views. You may experience a delay before it displays.
- If using the Edge browser, be sure that you have the latest version of Edge in order for Archibus to properly display the Space Console. (AD-9372)
- As outlined below, the Space Console offers many features for examining and managing space and occupancy. Occasional users may want to simply highlight a floor plan and share it. These occasional users can use a simpler view, the View and Print Floor Plan task.
