BEST PRACTICE: Successful updates to Condeco devices

Condeco screens and devices receive updates over-the-air (OTA) and the devices periodically check for updates when in power-save mode. If business hours aren't set, the devices won't move to power-save mode and therefore won't check for updates. Additionally, if the inactive time is too short, there might not be enough time for the update to complete.

We recommend configuring business hours for your Condeco screens and devices and making sure there are at least 4-6 hours of downtime.

Note:
  • High network traffic and server loads can cause delays in receiving updates.

  • Rebooting a device forces it to check for an OTA update, however, downloading the update depends on network conditions. During working hours,‌ updates might be delayed.

  • Business hours and inactive times are set on the Device Hub in Screen Profiles. 

Preview devices: 

All preview devices receive updates with other screens, but remain a part of the preview program.
