A workspace type is any kind of space that can be booked. For example, a desk, a meeting room, a parking space, or even a locker. Available workspace types depend on your organization’s configuration.

Workspace types for Personal spaces
Depending on your organization’s setup, your personal spaces might be categorized by 'workspace type' allowing you to specify exactly the type of space you want to book when visiting the workplace. Workspace types for personal spaces can be desks, lockers, offices, parking spaces, or any other type of space you want to book when visiting your workplace.

'All-day' workspace types
When booking an 'all-day' personal space (bookable for either whole days or half-days, depending on your organization's configuration), the workspace types are separated into two lists. Spaces where you work (desk/office etc.) are listed under Workspaces. Other bookable personal spaces such as parking or lockers, etc. are listed under Other Spaces.

Booking certain workspace types might change your working status to In the office for the day of the booking. For example, your organization might allow a locker to be booked without changing your working status to in the office, but booking a desk might mark you as in the office.
You can book as many personal spaces as you need for the same booking period, but each personal space must be a different workspace type. For example, you can book 1 x desk, 1 x locker, and 1 x parking space for the same booking slot.
Booking periods for 'all-day' personal spaces are either half-day or whole-day, depending on your organization's setup. Learn more: Booking periods
'Hourly' workspace types
When booking an 'hourly' personal space (bookable in increments of 5, 15, 30, or 60 minutes, depending on the Group settings), the workspace types are not separately defined as spaces where you work and other bookable personal spaces, and booking 'hourly' workspace types does not automatically change your working status.

Workspace types for Meeting spaces
Depending on your organization’s setup, your meeting spaces may be categorized by workspace type, allowing you to specify exactly the type of space you want to book when collaborating with colleagues. Workspace types for meeting spaces can be meeting rooms, huddle spaces, board rooms, training rooms, or any other type of space where people meet and collaborate.
