Send Two-Way Texts to Visitors
Visitors and hosts will soon have the option to communicate via text when checking in using the Visitor app. Using two new preferences on the Visitor Preferences screen, administrators will have the option to alert a host of a visitor's arrival via SMS text message and even to allow the host to interact with their visitor in a two-way text conversation.
The following preferences are available.
- Text Notification to Host. Send a one-way text message to hosts to alert them that their visitor has arrived at the facility. Select the Send Visitor Check-in alert text message check box to allow these notifications.
- Allow host and visitor two-way text. Allow hosts and visitors to communicate via text by responding to the original text notification. Select the Allow host and visitor to chat via text check-in check box to allow this communication.
This new integration can allow for seamless communication between hosts and visitors, increasing flexibility and reducing the potential for miscommunication when a visitor arrives at your facility.
