FMAudit Troubleshooting
FMAudit Meter & Alerts
Note: The Edge ticketing system is typically only used by Ricoh customers.
Background
There are two separate API's (Application Programming Interface) currently configured between TRAC and FMAudit Central. One for meter synchronization and the other for consumable and service alerts. These API's are completely independent of each other. The meter synchronization is a process where we call or go to FMAudit Central to get whatever meter readings FMAudit Central has collected and the other is a push from FMAudit Central to TRAC.
Meter Synchronization
The first API is for pulling meters collected by FMAudit Central that originate from FMAudit Onsite. This meter pull or synchronization happens (runs as an automated job) nightly. It too is independent of the process of synchronization between Onsite and Central. Onsite typically sends to Central once a day, but can also be configured to send to Central multiple times a day. This push of meter reads from Onsite to Central can be automatic or a manual process. In order for meters to be synchronized with TRAC outside the nightly automated process will require a manual pull by iOffice. We currently have twelve (12) different placeholders for meters in TRAC. They are listed in the table below:

Consumable & Service Alerts
The second API deals with Service and Consumable alerts coming from Onsite to Central. This process is where Central calls TRAC and sends ticket information. The normal configuration between Onsite to Central is every two hours. When the service information hits Central then Central automatically calls TRAC and sends the information. The current alerts we receive from Central are the following:
Consumables | FMA Type Code | Service | FMA Type Code |
Toner (most common) | FMA-Toner | Low Paper | FMAS-0 |
Fuser | FMS-Fuser | No Paper | FMAS-1 |
Ink | FMA-Ink | Paper Jammed | FMAS-4 |
Wax | FMA Wax | Door Open | FMAS-5 |
Transfer | FMA-Transfer | Service Requested | FMAS-7 |
| Input Tray Missing | FMAS-8 | |
| Output Tray Missing | FMAS-12 | |
| Output Full | FMAS-13 |
Consumable alerts are pushed to TRAC in real time. Service alerts are picked up by TRAC roughly every two hours.
