#10 - Set up the Visitor Module
Your Eptura Workplace implementation is based on the plan purchased.
The Visitor module allows you to efficiently schedule and track visitors to your facility from check-in to departure.
Implementation Tasks
Before you can use the Visitor module the following needs to be configured:
- Set up the visitor types which can be made available to register a visitor and used when the visitor check-ins. Learn more in Set up Visitor Types.
- Set up the visitor alerts which are used to send an alert notification when the visitor arrives. This can be used when the visitor is a VIP or someone who needs to be escorted while on the premises. Learn more in Set up Visitor Alerts .
- If you have a particular order or want fields to be hidden then you can customize the layout of the Visitor Fields, Host Fields, and Queue Columns. Learn more in Customize the Visitor Module.
- Set up a visitor badge printer, visitor badge camera, and/or driver’s license reader. Learn more about the hardware installation in Hardware.
- If you are using ProxyClick you will be able to set up the ProxyClick and Eptura Workplace Integration. Learn more in Proxyclick and Eptura Workplace Visitor Integration.
Preferences
We recommend you review and set up the preferences for your organization:
- Send Visitors a Check-in Alert and then set up the Check-in Alert Email notification.
- Allow License Scan.
- Allow Web Cam Image Capture.
- Allow Security Alert and set up the Visitor Security Alert Email notification.
- Allow Badge Printing.
- Allow Pre-registration for visitors coming to the office on a future date and then set up the Pre-registered Email notification.
- Allow a visitor to wait in the lobby and then alert the host the visitor has arrived.
- Allow auto printing of badges after registration.
- Allow signature capture and then either use the default disclaimer/instructions or update the content.
- Use customized badges and then upload customized (Dymo) label template.
