Eptura Workplace and Eptura platform services

You can edit the space's details such as the common name, space type, allocation, etc. Remember, if you select multiple spaces, the Edit Form displays the number of spaces you are editing.

Access the Spaces Floor Plan Viewer.
Select the space(s) you want to change, see Select Spaces.
The Edit Spaces form displays the following tabs:

Overview tab

Field	Description
Common Name	Enter the common name of the space.
Description	Enter a short description of the space.
Space Type	Select a space type. Your organization can use the default space types or your Administrator can make modifications, see Space Types ↗
Capacity	Enter the capacity of a space. For example, if it is a workstation that can have two people, enter 2. If it is a meeting room that supports four people, enter 4. Inherit value from Space Type When this is toggled ON, any changes to the space type's capacity will cascade down to the space. When this is toggled OFF, then you can override the inherited Space Type capacity. Inherit value from Space Type
Space Function	Select the space function, either: Assignable Used by Eptura Engage as a Workspace Type. Used by Eptura Workplace to assign a space to a person. Bookable Used by Eptura Workplace's Reservations module. Open Retained These spaces are retained for a person who is not in the system, such as a Contractor, New Hire, Interns Used by Eptura Workplace to retain space(s). Shared These spaces are shared between 2 or more individuals Used by Eptura Workplace as a shared space and if needed, multiple people can be assigned. Flexi Used by Eptura Engage's flexi personal spaces. Inherit value from Space Function When this is toggled ON, the following happens: any changes to the space type's space function will cascade down to the space. the Retained and Shared space functions become visible for Me spaces. When this is toggled OFF, then you can override the inherited Space Type capacity.
Assign to	From the drop-down, select the person's name and you can select multiple people.

Field	Description
Org Unit	From the drop-down select the organization units. Organization units are set up in the Directory Settings and these can be created manually or imported in. Learn more Add, Edit, or Delete a Department ↗ Import Department Hierarchy ↗

Field	Description
Area	This displays the area of the space.

Field	Description
Email address of space	Enter the email address of the space to set up its calendar.
Email address for video conference	Enter the email address of the equipment used for video conferences.
