Set up the Vendor Contacts

Level: Administrator

This area is used to set up the New Vendor form when you create a new vendor. In the Vendor Contact settings, give you the ability to define:

  • vendor types
  • custom fields

Access Vendor Settings

  • Navigate to Settings > Module Settings > Contact > Vendor.  The vendor tab displays under contact settings.

The Vendor Tab in contact settings is where Vendor Types are defined. Use these fields when creating new vendors for better organization, making them easier to find and filter.

Vendor Types

Vendor Types are used to group vendors through the Vendor Management screen.

Custom Fields

Custom Fields are available for any information needed that is not within the default fields. Custom information displays as an option with creating or editing a Vendor.

See the Vendor Contact in Action

When you have set up the vendor contact, then in the New Vendor form you will see the fields.

Navigate to Vendors, click the New Vendor button and the New Vendor form displays. In this example, the Vendor Type drop-down displays options created from The Vendor tab in contact settings.

The Vendor Types created from the Vendor Contact Settings are available to select as an option.
