Create a New Part
You can manually create a new part in the Inventory module. The different part types that can be created are:
Stocked Parts

 - Inventory rules such as minimum, maximum and normal stocking levels will apply.

Non-Stocked Parts
- Parts you use as needed but don't keep in stock.
 - No inventory rules or restrictions apply.

Components
- These are parts installed on an asset with their own maintenance and warranty.
 - Components can be stocked or non-stocked.

Tires
- Tires have a special designation that tracks serial numbers, warranty, tire size, and Department of Transport (DOT) information. This data is tracked separately through the Tire Tracking module.

Warehouse Parts
- A part is a warehouse part if it meets one of the following criteria. It is a stocked part. A non-stocked part that was marked as warehouse part on creation. The part was used on a work order in the last 6 months or the part is marked as "warehouse favorite" in the part detail view.
