Create a new Estimate
Estimates are often the first step in a transaction with your customer. It's important to be able to quote parts and services accurately, consistently, and quickly. With Eptura Asset, your estimates are:
- Seamlessly converted to Work Orders and Invoices, streamlining the workflow of your transactions.
- Easily edit, print, and email your estimates directly from the estimate screen.

Create an Estimate
Let's learn how to create an estimate.
- Navigate to Invoices.
- From the New Invoice drop-down, select New Estimates.
The Create Estimate form displays.
- Complete the following fields:

Entity drop-down |
Select the site the estimate belongs to. |
Customer drop-down |
Similar to Invoices, estimates are for the customer. |
Budget drop-down |
Select the budget account for the estimate. |
Price Point drop-down |
Price points determine the mark up on the invoice. The price points are set up in the invoice settings. |
Sales Tax drop-down |
Select the appropriate sales tax for the customer. The sales tax is set up in the invoice settings. |
Purpose field |
Enter a summary of what work is being done. |
Asset field |
Select which asset the Estimate is for. |
- Either the click the following:
- Create Estimate button; this creates the estimate and you can then update the estimate later.
- Create & Open button and this opens the estimate where you can make updates, email the estimate to the customer, or print it.
Review and Update the New Estimate
The estimate is created; now you can complete the details and then send it to your customer.
- (A) Estimated current status and number.
- (B) When the estimate is active, you can change or add customers, edit the purpose, price point, or asset.
- (C) You can add new line items to the estimate and when you click the New Line item button, this lets you add parts, labor, and other costs.
- (D) The Save button lets you save any changes you have made.
- (E) Estimate toolbar includes View Details, Email Estimate, and Print Estimate.
