Edit a BI Custom Report
You can edit a BI Customer report, below describes the Edit Mode, so you can become familiar with it.
- From the menu, click BI.
- From the Reports panel, click the Custom Reports expand arrow to display the reports.
- For the report you want to edit, click the menu
icon.
- Click the Edit menu item and the report displays a tab and is in edit mode.
The edit mode contains the following elements:
- (A) - The report opens in a tab.
- (B) - This is the Fields and it contains the following icons:
- Show only text fields
- Show only numeric fields
- Show only date/time fields
- Show only other fields
- (C) - The Gear icon contains the following menu items:
- Rename - This is where you can enter a unique name of the report.
- Description - This is where you can enter a description. This displays at the bottom of the Main Menu and it is used when searching for reports.
- Categories - This is where you specify the data the report will access.
- Sorts - This is the data fields that will dictate the order of information in your report.
- Filters - Apply filters to limit the amount of information displayed in the report.
- Template - Add a pre-designed PDF, RTF, or Excel template to your report.
- Options - This contains the following:
- General - This lets you define the General Options, Excel Options, and the Page Options.
- Report Viewer - This lets you specify the General Display settings, Filters, and Sorts.
- Custom
- Advanced - This contains the following:
- Joins - A JOIN is a command clause that combines records from two or more tables in a database.
- Parameters - A parameter is a reusable variable. Parameters are used within calculations and filters, denoted by “@ParameterName@“. They can be assigned a fixed value or prompt the user for a value on execution. Some parameters can only be edited by your administrator.
- (D) - This is the report toolbar and it contains the following:

- (E) - This is the report body, where you define the columns and the sections:
- Page Header
- Header
- Detail
- Footer
- Page Footer
