Set up the QR Code for Work Requests

Level: Administrator

You can set up more ways for your employees to submit work requests into Eptura Asset. This makes it easier for your employees to:

  • Submit a work request from an email address. Learn more in Set up Email Request Settings.
  • Submit a work request by scanning a QR Code from your device's camera and this will direct you to the Request Portal where the asset information will be pre-populated.

Set up QR Code for Work Requests

  1. From the menu, click Settings.
  2. Under the Tools and Support section, click the Additional Request Settings.
  3. You may be prompted to log into Classic Cloud. If you don't have access, then contact the Support team and they can assist with the set up.
  4. From the menu, select the Options tab and then Work Request Settings.
  5. Click the QR Request tab, and this is where you will complete the settings.

Field Description

Enable QR Requests check box

This option must be selected to print QR Request Code and receive Work Requests via QR Code. 

QR Request codes are printed from the Asset screen and remember this option will only show in the Asset Module when QR Requests are enabled.

Use Company Logo check box

Selected by default, the Company Logo will appear on the QR Request Code and Submission Form.

Maximum Requests Per Asset Per Day field

Enter the maximum number of QR requests that can be submitted for an Asset each day.

Require Purpose check box

When this is selected, then the Requester will be required to enter the purpose of the request.

Require Email check box

Selected by default, Requester is required to enter their contact email. If unselected, a default requester email will be required.

Enable Picture check box

Allow a requester to take a picture to attach to the request.

Emoji selection

Emoji can be used in the Submission message to acknowledge the request's submission. Example: Thumbs up emoji, indicating a successful submission request.

Label Msg. (Line 1) field

Message that will be displayed on the QR Request Code label upon printing.

Label Msg. (Line 2) field

Message that will be displayed on the QR Request Code label upon printing.

Submission Message field

Message that the Requested will receive upon submitting a QR Request.

  1. Click the Save button to apply the changes.
