Create an Axle Schema for Tire Tracking

You can create axle schemas for many different types of vehicles, such as tractor trailers, buses, forklifts, and more. 

Lets create a schema for a tractor trailer. 

  1. Navigate to Settings.
  2. Under the Module Settings, click Assets and the Asset Settings screen displays.
  3. Click the Category Settings tab.
  4. From the Select A Class drop-down, select either Fleet or Mobile Equipment class. These are the only classes you can set up Tire Tracking for.
  5. From the Create Or Select A Category drop-down, select a Category.
  6. Make sure the tire tracking is toggled ON for Category.
  7. Click an (A) existing subcategory or you can create a subcategory. The subcategory edit form displays.
  8. Click the (B) Select default schema button.

  1. Click the Select default schema button and the axle configuration dialog displays.

  1. Click the Create a new axle schema + and the Create Axle Schema form displays.

  1. In the Axle Schema Name field, enter the schema name.
  2. Click Add Axle + and the axle types display.

  1. Click an axle type to add the tire configuration.
  2. Repeat this; click Add Axle +  to complete the configuration. 

If you want to add more tires, click the (A) + icon to add a tire and if you need to arrange (B) drag and drop the axle to the new position.

  1. Click the Save button and the new axle displays.

  1. Click the axle schema and the "Set as default?" dialog displays with the message "Set this schema for all assets with the same sub-category?".
  2. Click the Yes button the default schema is set for the sub category and automatically saved.
