Purchase Order FAQ

Q. Can I correct the part's cost?

The cost override is only going to change the cost of the part when added to an work order/invoice.

If you brought the part in at the wrong cost, that hit your purchasing budget, NOT operations like a work order/invoice would. To change that, you have to either:

  • Return the parts through the purchase order where you added them.
  • Complete two cycle counts: the first cycle count sets the quantity of the part to 0. The second cycle count sets the correct quantity and cost. This effectively refunds your purchasing budget on the first cycle count and then charges it on the second.
