Change an Asset to be Offline or Online

Being able to take an asset offline due to repairs or other maintenance is part of the asset's life and you can track the downtime of any particular asset.

Your Administrator has the ability to:

Take an Asset Offline

  1. From the menu, click Assets.
  2. From the Assets list, click an asset.
  3. From the toolbar, click the Downtime clipboard_e1fd487033d24fb5363d99623681df191.png icon and the form displays.

This shows if an asset is ACTIVE or DOWN, also a graph is available showing you the history of the Asset's Downtime.

  1. If it is already ACTIVE, click the Down tab, and you will be prompted to give a reason for why it is down.

  1. In the Reason to bring asset down field, enter the reason.
  2. Click the Save button, and the asset is marked as DOWN.

Remember, if needed, you can edit the reason.

Reactive an Asset

When an asset is DOWN, it is ready to be used you can change the downtime status to ACTIVE.

  1. Navigate to Assets.
  2. From the Assets list, click on an asset.
  3. Click the Downtime clipboard_e1fd487033d24fb5363d99623681df191.png icon and the form displays.
  4. Click on the Active tab.  The Reactivate Asset Manually dialog displays the message "Please confirm manual asset activation".
  5. Click the Yes button and the asset is now ACTIVE.
