Start Downtime from a Work Order

Being able to take an asset offline due to repairs or other maintenance is part of the asset's life and you can track the downtime of any particular asset.

Instructions

Manually Take an Asset Offline

  1. Navigate to Work Orders.
  2. From the Work Orders list, click on a Work Order.
  3. Click the Downtime clipboard_e1fd487033d24fb5363d99623681df191.png icon. The form displays.

This shows if an asset is Active or Down. If it is already Active, click on the Down option, and you will be prompted to give a reason for why it is down. A graph is also available showing you the History of the Assets Downtime.

  1. Click the Down tab.

  1. In the Reason to being asset down field, enter the reason.
  2. Click the Save button.

The asset is marked as Down.

Add a Work Order to Downtime

You can take an asset offline with Add Work Order to Downtime.

  1. Navigate to Work Orders.
  2. From the Work Orders list, click on a Work Order.
  3. Click the Downtime clipboard_e1fd487033d24fb5363d99623681df191.png icon. The form displays.
  4. Click Add Work Order to Downtime. 

The Asset is marked as down

To reactivate the asset, complete the Work Order added to downtime and the asset is automatically marked active.

Manually Reactive an Asset

  1. From the Work Orders list, click on a Work Order.
  2. Click the Downtime clipboard_e1fd487033d24fb5363d99623681df191.png icon. The form displays.
  3. Click on the Active tab.  The Reactivate Asset Manually dialog displays the message "Please confirm manual asset activation".
  4. Click the Yes button.

The asset is now active.
