Create an Inventory Component

Components can track a part's warranty, and requires you to register the component's serial number each time you purchase or order the part.  You can change a part to become a component. 

Instructions

Create a new Inventory Component

  1. Navigate to Inventory.
  2. Click the New Part button.
  3. Click the New Component button.
  4. Fill in the appropriate fields, including any Warranty information.
  5. Click the OK button.

Change a Part to be a Component

  1. Select the part record.
  2. Click the View Part Details Screenshot 2022-12-29 at 10.19.27 AM.png icon.
  3. Check the Serialized check box.  
  4. After refreshing the screen, you will see the View Components Screenshot 2022-12-29 at 10.41.38 AM.png icon on the Part record.
