About the ServiceNow integration

When ServiceNow is integrated with Eptura Engage, you can report issues directly from Eptura Engage and create incident tickets in ServiceNow. Issues can be raised for any asset that ServiceNow manages - they do not need to be associated with an Eptura Engage resource. When reporting an issue, details are selected and entered on the Report Issue form in Eptura Engage, and when submitted, a corresponding incident ticket is created in ServiceNow.

If your organization has integrated ServiceNow, you can report issues directly from Eptura Engage and create incident tickets in ServiceNow.

About reporting issues to ServiceNow


You can report issues with Eptura Engage meeting spaces and personal spaces, and you can also report issues with other assets managed by ServiceNow that are not associated with Eptura Engage resources.

Issues can be reported in any of the following ways:

  • From the Report Issue module in the web app - for Eptura Engage resources and other unrelated ServiceNow assets.
  • From an existing booking for the affected resource.
  • From the resource details accessed via the booking grids or booking form - when an existing booking does not exist.

When reporting an issue, a description is entered on the Report Issue form and when submitted, a corresponding incident ticket is created in ServiceNow.

When ServiceNow is integrated with Eptura Engage, you can enable the Issue reporting system in Global Setup and then enable the Report issue setting for each location.

Global setup
  1. In the Eptura Engage web app, navigate to Advanced setup > Global setup
  2. On the Application tab, scroll down to Menu Options > Issue reporting system and select Eptura Engage + 3rd Party.

  3. Click Save to enable the issue reporting system globally for your organization.
Locations
  1. In the Eptura Engage web app, navigate to Application setup > Locations 
  2. Navigate to the relevant location to open Location administration.
  3. Enable Report issue.

  4. Click Save to save the location settings.
