Microsoft Intune

Eptura Engage supports Microsoft Intune policies, enabling security to be strengthened by creating policies to secure the data stored in the Eptura Engage mobile app and control how Eptura Engage is used. Intune policies can be applied to both your organizational mobile devices and employees’ Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) equipment.

The Eptura Engage mobile app stores data such as colleagues' names, building and location details, and meeting information. You can create Intune policies to add an additional layer of protection for this data. For example, create Intune policies to:

  • Pre-configure Eptura Engage URL when logging in to the Eptura Engage mobile app. Learn more: Pre-configure Eptura Engage URL
  • Apply a PIN to the Eptura Engage mobile app that must be entered on launch.
  • Encrypt data stored in the Eptura Engage mobile app.
  • Remotely wipe data from the Eptura Engage mobile app.
  • Disable screenshots and recording functionality when using the Eptura Engage mobile app.
  • Disable copy/paste functions when using the Eptura Engage mobile app.
  • Remotely deploy the Eptura Engage mobile app to multiple devices.

Microsoft Intune is a cloud-based service that provides organizations with control over mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM), and helps manage access to corporate apps, data, and resources. With Intune, organizations can manage how mobile devices are used and enforce policies to control applications and data.

Users securely access corporate apps through the Microsoft Company Portal app, available for both iOS and Android.

Prerequisites and requirements

Important: Microsoft Intune MAM, MDM, Conditional Access, Microsoft Authenticator, and Edge-based single sign-on (SSO) require users to have a Microsoft Entra ID identity. Users who authenticate only through on-premises Active Directory are not supported unless their identities are synchronized or federated with Microsoft Entra ID.

Microsoft Intune support is not enabled by default. Contact support to enable it for Eptura Engage in your organization.

If Eptura Engage does not appear in the list of apps when creating an Intune policy, select Select Custom Apps and add Eptura Engage using the Bundle and Package IDs noted below.

Use the following unique identifiers for the Eptura Engage app:

    Authentication

Depending on your organization's Intune configuration, users with mobile apps managed by Microsoft Intune might be prompted to provide their Microsoft user credentials after logging onto the Eptura Engage mobile app.

    Coming soon!

User authentication via Microsoft Intune for the Eptura Engage mobile app is expected Q3 2026

We're adding a global setting that allows admins to enable Intune-based authentication for the Eptura Engage mobile app. When enabled, the app uses Microsoft's secure authentication broker; when disabled, it falls back to standard in-app web view sign-in.
