Understanding Space Profiles and Booking Settings

Within Teem Web the Location Directory is where you manage your buildings and space profiles. The space profiles are a template-based model that can be set up to define settings and attributes in a profile and this can be applied to a room, desk, or lobby.

Remember space profiles can be edited or deleted, see Edit or Delete a Space Profile. Also, the article Booking and Display Settings Overview details an overview of the settings found in the space profile.

Desk


The following details how you can use space profiles for desks.

Use a Space Profile to allow a Team to Book Desks

When you assign a space profile to multiple desks then only employees in that team can book the desks.

In this example, you will learn how the Sales team is allocated desks for their use and only they can book the desks. Learn more in Set up a Space Profile to allow a Team to Book Desks.

Assign an Employee to a Desk

When you have an employee in a department that requires a desk, then you can assign the employee to the desk so that they can use the desk. In this situation, the employee does not need to reserve their desk they can come into the office and use their desk. Learn more in Assign a User to a Desk.

The following details how you can use space profiles for spaces.

Use a Space Profile to define a Meeting Room

Use the space profile to define a meeting room and then add a definition to the room. In this example, you will learn how to define a space profile for a 10 Seat meeting room that contains particular amenities such as Digital Whiteboard, Apple Display, Chromecast, Audio/Speakers, etc. When you define amenities this will allow employees to be able to search quickly for a meeting room that contains the equipment they need to ensure their meeting is a success.

Use a Space Profile to allow a specific Team to Book a Room

Use the space profile to define a training room where only the Training team's employees can book the room.

Use a Space Profile to allow Employees to reserve an Ad-hoc Meeting Room

Use the space profile to define an ad-hoc meeting room (or huddle room) so employees can immediately reserve the room on the day.
