Improvements to event location details
We have improved the way that location information is shown in an Outlook event for Exchange mapped rooms and now only the details from the Exchange room is shown.
Previously, both the location information from the Exchange room and the Condeco meeting space were displayed in the event's location field.
Benefits
- Removes duplication of room details in the location field. Showing information from both resources causes unnecessary duplication in the location field.
- Prevents unnecessary updates to the calendar appointments. Adding the Condeco location triggers an update to be sent from the event to the attendees, causing confusion. It can also prompt a double acceptance of the Exchange room calendar.
- Improves migration experience for Exchange Sync customers. By removing the Condeco location string, migrated appointments do not trigger an unnecessary update to attendees.
We recommend that additional room information, such as the building and floor, is configured in Exchange, so the attendees can see extra details when they hover over the location.
Note: Condeco-only meeting spaces (i.e. rooms not linked to an Exchange room) are unaffected and will continue to show the location information in the event.

Switch to Nested App Authentication
As announced to customers in January and March 2025, and in line with Microsoft's guidelines, we are switching to Nested App Authentication (NAA) from Exchange Online tokens. Customers who have granted consent in advance of this change will see no change, however any customer who has not yet granted consent will see the following popup when they open the Condeco Outlook add-in:
If an Exchange admin opens the Condeco Outlook add-in, they can select the option to Consent on behalf of the organization.
Note: This change affects only the Condeco Outlook add-in. Bookings between Microsoft Outlook and Condeco will continue to synchronize even if consent is not granted.
It’s still not too late for customers to grant consent before we make the switch on 18 May!
Condeco Global Admins can grant consent from Condeco which prevents the popups appearing for users.
- Navigage to Advanced Setup > Global Setup and select the Outlook tab.
- Click Configure Nested App Authentication for Condeco Outlook add-in.
- Select the Exchange tenant and follow the steps to select the Exchange admin account to grant consent.
Authorization must be granted for each Exchange tenant.
