Paxton Net2 Configuration
The Proxyclick Net2 integration has the following prerequisites:
Networking
- The Proxyclick access control client reaches out to Proxyclick servers via port 443. For more information on networking refer to the 'Deployment Requirements' section of the Access Control Overview.
- The access control API listens on port 8025 by default but depending on your setup this can change. Confirm the correct port number with your access control administrator.
- Ensure port 8025 (or an alternative if changed from the default) is open and accessible for our access control client.
Create a Proxyclick Operator
- We recommend running the Proxyclick client with a Net2 specific operator. Create a user named "Proxyclick Service Account".
- Assign the System engineer permissions to this user account under the Operators section in Net2.
- The password for this user will only be used by our client software - you will enter these details and do not need to share them with Proxyclick directly.
QR Reader Setup - for QR-based access
Your QR reader should be configured with a suitable output for use with Net2 Custom Wiegand rules. See Reading QR Codes. A matching rule in the Net2 Configuration Utility must also be applied.
Using Physical Credentials - RFID Cards/Fobs
Our Access Card Manager allows physical credentials to be assigned to a visitor via the Proxyclick dashboard. See Access Card Manager.
Paxton supply a keyboard-output version of their desktop reader - Sales Code: 214-326 - which supports this functionality well; allowing Paxton cards to be scanned and the token number to be output to an active field in the Proxyclick dashboard.
