Group Name Limitations

Brivo set a Group name limit of 35 characters.

If using our custom access level functionality (custom field or company specific permissions) this will need to be kept in mind as we would append the custom field and/or company info from Proxyclick to create a custom access level in Brivo: if the overall group name is then too long this will cause an error.

We have reduced the length of our default group names to help accommodate this:

"Proxyclick - checked-in" is listed as "PXC checked-in", for example.

Multi-tenant locations

In a multi-tenant scenario we can add multiple Proxyclick locations to the same Brivo account. All visitors and employees will be generated within this Brivo account, but we can use our Company-based access functionality to ensure the access group applied is then specific to where each user requires access.

Distinct locations with separate Brivo accounts will of course have separate Proxyclick connections - each will generate an API key and be connected separately.
