Proxyclick firmware: XS2-DPB-PC

This is a Proxyclick variant of the XS2 reader running custom firmware.

If you have a stock reader, you will need to request the above custom Proxyclick firmware to ensure Proxyclick QR codes are correctly interpreted.

With the correct firmware loaded, the reader will function as below when scanning a QR code:

  • 8-digit token numbers are picked up from Proxyclick QR codes
  • This 8-digit token is sent from the reader to the ACS in a Wiegand format
  • The reader output is set to HID H10302 - 37 bits with parity

Simply configure the ACS appropriately to accept this data, then perform a live test using our example QR codes to confirm functionality.

Notes:

  • The firmware can be loaded via BioStar 2, contact the Suprema team if in need of any help with receiving or updating the firmware.
  • If other outputs are required (OSDP, or an alternative Wiegand format, for example) and/or you need the reader to also support particular card/credential types, please discuss this directly with Suprema. Custom firmware based on the above may need to be created for you if you are unable to configure this in BioStar 2.
