Proxyclick - Genetec Security Center

Integration Setup

Within Genetec your visitors will be created with templates and identifiers to allow your Proxyclick visitors to gain access. Different customer needs can be met by configuration values to ensure the flow of visitors is secure and adjusted to the specific requirements on site.

To learn more about how Proxyclick interacts with Genetec, see the Proxyclick Access Control Overview. The following assumes you’re familiar with the general workings of Proxyclick, Genetec and the Proxyclick Access Control integrations.

Terminology

  • In Proxyclick a location (CO-) can be assigned to a specific partition within Genetec. All Proxyclick activity for that CO- will be assigned to that partition. A CO- within Proxyclick can be anything, a single tenant in a multi-tenant building, a single company location ( ex Genetec London headquarters, Genetec Amsterdam headquarters) or a subset (Genetec London loading dock) just depending on how a customer would like this to work. To set up your location within a specific partition then mention this to the Proxyclick operative while performing setup.
  • Proxyclick’s access permissions, the Expected, On-site, Checked-in, and Checked-out access levels, are assigned to a cardholder group in Genetec to allow generic setting of permissions to the whole group. Manual renaming of card holder groups is not supported, even though temporarily it will work the rename can result into a new card holder group being created with the original name. If you experience issues contact accesscontrol@proxyclick.com to resolve issues related to this.
  • Departments do not exist in Genetec, and as such the card holder group is used and a specific no-access group is created to always be able to find your visitors.
