Avigilon Alta Configuration
The Avigilon Alta integration has the following prerequisites:
Requirements
Set up a Proxyclick user
- Provide a Username and Password we may use to allow Proxyclick to log in to Avigilon Alta
- We recommend you set this up named "Proxyclick Service Account", rather than an already in-use named person, so it is clear what this account is for (and it isn't deleted!)
- These account details will be stored by Proxyclick to facilitate the communication between Proxyclick and Avigilon Alta
- The Proxyclick user account must have the below permissions. This can be configured as a role under Role Management in Avigilon Alta and then applied to the user account we will connect with.

Organization
The user account we connect with may connect to multiple Avigilon Alta organizations. Please specify the organization we should connect to.
Reader setup - select the correct Wiegand format for QR-based access
The Wiegand output QR reader you have chosen should be set to output the correct format as selected for the user credentials in use in Avigilon Alta. Various Wiegand output formats are available.
Further information can be found in the Access Control Overview document here. You may use the example QR code found there and add the token number for testing purposes:
- Add a test user (Users > User Management > "Add User")
- Select the Credentials tab to add a card (Add User Credentials > select "Card: Wiegand ID") and set a suitable Card Format for the output configured for your QR reader.
- If you add the token number into the "Card ID" field in Avigilon Alta using the format "Prox 37 bit (h10302)" (for example) you need to ensure the reader is configured to send 37 bits of data to your controller.
- When a token number is added to the "Card ID" field, Avigilon Alta automatically generates a card number and this is displayed in the field below.
- Select the Access tab on the user profile page to apply a suitable group for testing purposes
- You can then use the test QR code from our documentation to ensure the reader is working as expected
Share the Wiegand format used to confirm your reader setup with the access control team. We will configure the settings to input tokens in the correct format.
Using Physical Credentials - RFID Cards/Fobs
Our Access Card Manager allows physical credentials to be assigned to a visitor via the Proxyclick dashboard. To configure this, we will need to know the Card Format and Facility Code configured for your RFID readers. See Access Card Manager.
Our Access Card Manager currently supports the credential type “Wiegand ID” with 8-digit decimal token numbers.
