Add, Edit, or Delete Space Type

Level: Administrator

The space types list contains a default set of space types. If your organization needs more, then your Administrator can add these space types.

  • Add Space Type
  • Edit Space Type
  • Delete Space Type
  • Space Type Fields

Add Space Type


  1. From the Home screen, click Space Types.
  2. Click the + Add Space Type button and the Add Space Type form displays.
  3. Complete the fields, and see the table below for the Space Type Fields.
  4. Click the Save button.

Edit Space Type


  1. For the space type you want to edit, click the space type's name and the Edit Space Type form displays.

  1. Update the fields, and see the table below for the Space Type Fields.
  2. Click the Save button.

Delete Space Type


  1. For the space type you want to delete, click the space type's name and the Edit Space Type form displays.
  2. Click the Delete button. The message displays, "Delete this space type? This action cannot be undone. Do you want to continue?"
  3. Click the Delete button.

Space Type Fields


This describes the fields in the form.

Fields Description

Space Type Name 

Enter the name of the space type.

Space Type Code 

Enter the code for the space type.

Classification 

Select the classification from the following:

  • Vertical Penetration
  • Usable Area
  • Other Area
  • Service Area

Color 

  1. Click the select color to display the Color picker.
  2. Either select a preset color or click the Custom tab and enter either a HEX,  RGB, or HSL code.
  3. Click the Save Changes button.

Usage 

Select the usage from:

  • None - Default space type, which includes corridors and other service areas.
  • Me - Spaces designed for individual work, such as workstations or offices. They have the capacity of 1 employee to 1 space.
  • We - Spaces designed for collaborative work, such as meeting rooms and huddle spaces. They have a capacity of 2 or more.
  • Common - Spaces designed for informal use, such as a lounge or corner seating area. These are not typically assigned or reserved but where work can be conducted.

Default Capacity 

Enter the capacity of the space type.

Default Space Function

 

Select the space function from:

  • Assignable - indicates that the space is assigned to a person (or user) who permanently occupy the space.
  • Bookable - indicates that the space can be booked for a temporary period through hotelling and/or calendar integration.
  • Open - indicates that the space can be used ad-hoc without assignment or booking.
  • Flexi
