Add or Edit Space Manually

You can upload spaces using our plugins, and it is important to understand what happens with the Automatic vs Manual Space Creation.

Add Space


The "App Space" button only displays when you haven't use the Floor Plan Publishing plugins.

  1. From the Home screen, click Portfolio Manager and the All Locations screen displays.
  2. Click the Buildings tab.
  3. Click the building you want to add the floor to.
  4. Click the floor you want to add the spaces to.
  5. Click the + Add Space button.
  6. Complete the fields, see below for the Space Fields.
  7. Click the Save button.

Edit Space


  1. Use the All Locations navigation to navigate to the floor and the spaces displays.
  2. For the space you want to edit, click the Edit clipboard_e6747433644d0cffdd122fc07c3af494f.png icon and the Edit Space form displays.
  3. Complete the fields, and see the table below for the Space Fields.
  4. Click the Save button.

Space Fields


Overview Tab

Fields Description
Space Name Enter the name of the space.
Common Name Enter a common name of the space.
Space Type

Select a space type.

Your organization can use the default space types or your Administrator can make modifications, see Space Types.

Capacity

Enter the capacity of a space. For example, if it is a workstation that can have two people, enter 2. If it is a meeting room that supports four people, enter 4.

Inherit value from Space Type

When this is toggled ON, any changes to the space type's capacity will cascade down to the space. When this is toggled OFF, then you can override the inherited Space Type capacity.

Building - Floor

This displays the name of the building.

Fields Description
Area (measurement system) - Manual Enter the area of the space.

More Tab

Fields Description
Email address of space Enter the email address of the space to set up its calendar.
Email address for video conferences Enter the email address of the equipment used for video conferences.
