RELEASE 6.3.7

Released November 22, 2018

This article contains important information about the 6.3.5 release, released on Nov 22, 2018. Release 6.3.7 is a major release and is already in effect for all customers' systems that were previously on version 6.3.6.

New Features in Hippo CMMS 6.3.7

This section lists all the new features introduced by this release. The Feature ID is identified in bold.

We replaced the old Locations Grid with our newly created Grid. Locations Grid will now behave the same as User and Equipment Grid. You can customize the Grid to your needs by hiding, reordering, or resizing columns. You can achieve this by using the Display Settings button in the bottom left corner. (HV6-2276)

To add a Location, click on the + button and a pop-up will allow you to enter all the information needed to create a new location. Adding locations is no longer done on the grid. This will improve loading times on this grid. Editing a location works the same way, using the Edit button on the Grid. (HV6-4125)

In Equipment Models and Equipment ID Tags, you can now add URL links for images and documents. (HV6-3577)

When scheduling a Work Order, you can now select a “one-time” schedule that will generate right away (HV6-3604)

GPS Coordinates have been added to Equipment Details and Locations (HV6-3914)

Improvements to our Auth APIs (Auth-135, Auth-134, FileAPI-42)

Added documentation for Work Order APIs (HV6-3672)

Added the hyphen ( “ - “ )as an approved character when creating or editing a User name (HV6-3848)

Adding a new part and changing associated type to location was causing the save to fail (HV6-3614)

User that all have the same first name but different last names were not sorting alphabetically (HV6-3499)

When editing a Meter based scheduled Work Order, the fields was too small to hold large numbers (HV6-3554)

Hiccups while completing Work Orders (HV6-3885)

Users can submit WO from advanced view floor plan without having submit WO permission (HV6-3963)

When reporting a piece of equipment back up after completing the WO, you can choose to "Use this" time, but the time was missing (HV6-4086)

RELEASE 6.3.6

Released October 29, 2018

New Features in Hippo CMMS 6.3.6

Work Order Request: We’ve been busy simplifying our Work Order Request (WOR) feature!

We’ve updated the WOR Portal (for Requesters) and added the ability to also make Work Order Requests within the Hippo. Now you can do both! Users can now have Requester and CMMS permission at the same time and create WORs in the app. Also, User can now create WORs for Location, Equipment and Vehicles. (WOR-90, WOR-13, WOR-14, WOR-7, WOR-2, WOR-79, HV6-3439, Auth-127 WOR-58, WOR-107, HV6-3716)

Also, Requesters and User can now upload multiple files to your WOR using Portal, App or Mobile (WOR-60, HV6-3834)

‘Requested by’ and ‘Email Address’ fields will autofill with the Users information (WOR-91)

We have moved the Requester History Grid and Work Order Request Grids into our new and improved Grid that allows you to customize your grid through the Display Settings button at the bottom left corner. (WOR-96, WOR-15, WOR-18, WOR-19, HV6-3716)

In the History Grid, we have separated WOR Status and Work Order Status (WOR-134)

We’ve added a Help Video to WOR Portal (HV6-3948)

GPS: Users can now add GSP to Equipment within the App, as well as Mobile. You will find this feature in Edit Equipment. Users can enter the coordinates manually or by clicking on the GPS Icon to use their devices’ location. Once the coordinates are saved, clicking on the Map Icon will show you in Google Maps.  (HV6-3894)

We added a Thanksgiving turkey to help celebrate Thanksgiving. (HV6-2074)

We added some Halloween art to help celebrate Halloween (HV6-2079)

Facility field in Submit Work Order on Mobile is a mandatory field. It is now highlighted as a reminder to fill out. (HV6-3500)

Added a new column in Extracts: WorkOrderHistoryResources ResourceCreatedDate (HV6-3560)

All buttons in popups (Modals) will been in the same place.  (HV6-3681)

Removed old Wiki links (HV6-3711)

Meter Reading Modal (HV6-3764)

Large white space behind Scancode Modal is now gone (HV6-3167)

User Grid Icons were slow to load. (HV6-3520)

User can now delete barcodes (HV6-3581)

Critical WOs were not being marked by an exclamation mark (HV6-3611)

RELEASE 6.3.4

Released August 29, 2018

When a work order was changed from pending review to completed, it added a new completed date (HV6-3495)

Allow closing of work orders for equipment that had a meter reading with decimal (HV6-3652)

Removed extra scrolls that were no longer needed to Calendar View Dashboard (HV6-3207)

Sort results were disappearing after viewing equipment on the equipment grid (HV6-3381)

Advanced view dashboard was loading facility data twice (HV6-3481)

RELEASE 6.3.3

Released August  14, 2018. 

New Features

We added a new KPI dashboard. To access the KPI dashboard, click the graph icon in the dashboard view at the top of your Hippo. (HV6-2723)

Renamed user permissions for CMMS vs Requester Access (WOR-56):

Web Requester has been renamed to Requester.

User Enabled has been removed. A user is enabled if CMMS or Requester is selected.

*These permission changes have been applied to all Hippo databases. No intervention is required by your local Hippo administrator for these changes.

An equipment was appearing multiple times on printed PM (HV6-3429)

Hippo CMMS 6.3.3 introduces a new feature and a simple change to the CMMS:

KPI DASHBOARD: The new KPI dashboard displays key performance indicators to provide your users with an easy-to-see view of your work order performance. To see your new KPI dashboard in action, click the graph icon in the dashboard view at the top of your Hippo.

REQUESTER / CMMS ACCESS PERMISSIONS: We've simplified the user permissions for Web Requester and CMMS users. No action is needed on your end as no user permissions have changed but Hippo administrators should be familiar with these permission changes.

RELEASE 6.3.2

Release July 31. 2018.

New Features in Hippo CMMS 6.3.2

We added a quick button on the Equipment Grid to report when equipment is down (red) or up (green). You will find this button in the column beside the view, edit, barcode icons. (HV6-3119)

We added the ability to save settings to the new User and Equipment Grid. You can change the size of the columns and these changes will be remembered session to session. There is a 'Restore Defaults' button in Display Settings at the bottom of the grid. (HV6-3434)

In the Equipment detail screen, the Electrical Panel information was not displaying. This information displayed on the Grid should be shown in the Equipment Detail Screen. (HV6-3254)

Shift click to select a range of items on the new grids is now available. (HV6-3403)

In Calendar View, when you hover on a WO the information was showing over the list of Facilities. (HV6-3035)

When a Floor Plan Image was opened, the title was wrong. (HV6-3038)

When printing Equipment Details, only the image was printing. All other information was missing. (HV6-3087)

In Vehicle Grid, the column 'Status' was changed to 'Make'. (HV6-3313)

User Grid will not load.  (HV6-3447)

RELEASE 6.3.1

Released July 18, 2018

We replaced the old User Grid with our newly created Grid. You can now reorder/hide columns. (HV6-2980)

We have added the ability to resize columns in the new Grids. There is also a button in display setting that will allow the User to restore the default setting of the columns. (HV6-3434)

When creating a new PM on the Scheduled Work Order grid Facility level User sees a list of every resource in the system, not just the ones that are associated to that one facility. (HV6-2355)

For IE11 hippo users, you can now date pick on a calendar for setting Install, Purchase, and Warranty expiry date. (HV6-2921)

Contact drop-down on Submit WO form was closing after one selection. User can select multiple Contacts. (HV6-2531)

When generating Reports in French, User was given an error. (HV6-2655)

When opening a closed work order, if the part was no longer available the system was showing a no parts error. A closed WO should not display errors for low quantity or parts unavailable. (HV6-2659)

On hippo Mobile, an edit made to a piece of equipment was not saving.  (HV6-2753)

When an edit was made to a User, "Can Edit Enterprise" permissions were automatically unchecked. (HV6-2906) 

Equipment title was not in capitals. It should make all the other titles in the Grids. (HV6-2939 HV6-3166)

Install date and Warranty date are not visible on iOS. (HV6-3150)

Scancode column is not refreshing after you create a new code. This column will now refresh automatically. (HV6-3154)

Page navigation on Extracts results does not work. (HV6-3081)

RELEASE 6.2.12

Released June 1, 2018

New Features in Hippo CMMS 6.2.12

A User should be able to see the meter reading on the completed PM. A User can click the gear icon beside the asset name to see the meter reading and update it if needed. (HV6-2532)

‘Request a Demo’ can now be accessed from Login page. (HV6-2715)

When a User does not add an Enterprise Screen there will be a default image provided. (HV6-2869)

When a User does not add a Facility screen there will be a default image provided. (HV6-2870)

When a User does not add a floor plan to a Facility there will be a default image provided. (HV6-2871)

New loading spinner was added to look better and render smoother. (HV6-2910)

Facility Reports - filter by floor plan should include both equipment and location work orders. (HV6-2443)

Calendar View now uses all the space on the page. The Week and Day views now show all the WO instead of having to expanding the box. (HV6-2450)

Reports Grid now logs page times to Google Analytics. This will allow Hippo Support to track speed times within the App. (HV6-2452)

A User can not add an ID Tag when creating a new piece of equipment. (HV6-2477)

A User can not preview document when attaching to a work order before submitting.  (HV6-2590)

Completed Work Orders are showing work orders with no completed date. (HV6-2640)

Issue with deleting documents. (HV6-2651)

User names with special characters will no longer be allowed. (HV6-2743)

Emailed Report is not rendering as expected, the resource table should have a header. (HV6-2744)

User can not edit their Extracts (Conditions), text is overlapping. (HV6-2882)

User adding an equipment to an existing work order don't see the entire list. (HV6-2918)

Inactive Equipment is appearing on Submit WO. It should not appear on submit WO. (HV6-2932)

A User with permissions to see one facility can see all facilities in hippo Mobile. (HV6-2983)

Some Scheduled Work Orders in client databases have duplicate. (HV6-3009)

RELEASE 6.2.11

Released May 23, 2018

Details of What's New in 6.3.11.0

  • The Beta version of Purchase Orders is now being tested by selected Users. Soon Users will be able to track purchase orders for inventory and spare parts.
  • Hippo APIs are now available. You can view a list of APIs and their features on api.hippocmms.com
  • Started setting up integration with Zapier. Subscribe users to WOR events (submitted) and User can also customize the type of message you want to receive
  • CMMS Requester User can now access their Work Order History
  • CMMS Mobile Users can now submit Work Order Requests
  • Resources will now show in Maintenance History Report
  • Future PM now has a Due Date Field
  • Equipment Grid now has an Export to CSV
  • All the buttons within the App and Mobile have been Standardized
  • Icon improvements made to User Grid
  • Visual improvements made to the Quick Filter in Standard View and KPI View
  • Waiting for Parts color is now gray

RELEASE 6.2.10

Unable to delete a User or update login name. A user can now delete a User, create a user with a new username/user ID. You can not create a user with a username/user ID that has ever been used (even if you delete the other user). You can rename a username/user ID if it has never been used before (including deleted usernames/user IDs). You can rename back to a previously renamed username (eg. Rename A -> B, then rename C -> A) You can not rename a username/user ID to a username/user ID if it has ever been used before (including deleted usernames) (HV6-2633)

Changed title ‘Home Phone’ to ‘Other Phone' on grids. We wanted to make the field more general and more open for people to use as they wish. (HV6-2615)

Error pop up when trying to access a Facility Floor plan. (HV6-2876)

A User sees a French calendar when selecting rescheduled date for open work order. (HV6-2533)

A User sees a French calendar when selecting conditions in Reports Extract. (HV6-2025)

A vehicle is appearing multiple times on a closed work order. (HV6-2331)

The order of parts on desktop and mobile are sorted differently on the parts grids. Desktop and mobile parts grid should display the parts list the same. parts should be sorted by character, number, letter in both places. (HV6-1626)

Hippo News has a new design. Larger font was added in the titles and new colors to keep with the hippo feel. (HV6-2371)

The style of the button on the Login page will now change color and logo to match the provider type (HV6-2460)

A Hippo User should be able to view a list of filters on the floor plan. There is now a list of filters in the advanced dashboard, floor plan view. (HV6-2483)

As a user who accesses a floor plan, the default view will two filters selected. Equipment with WO and Location with WO will now be default.  (HV6-2485)

See all locations filter was added to Floor Plan view. If you click on the dash it will select all or deselected all. Clicking on the word 'Location’ will collapse the drop down. (HV6-2495)

Floor Plan drop down boxes were all open when you went into Advance Dashboard, floor plan view. They now will remain closed until clicked open (HV6-2632)

Submit Work Order was giving an internal error after creating. (HV6-2641)

New Features in Hippo CMMS 6.2.7

This section lists all the new features introduced by this release. Feature ID is identified in bold.

  • Navigate users to Hippo Zendesk for Requests. We created a button (Feedback) in hippo to jump a User to the Zendesk Submit a Request page so that you can quickly ask for help or make suggestions. (HV6-2435)
  • Navigate users to Hippo Zendesk for help. We created a button (Support) in hippo to jump a User to the Zendesk Hippo Support page where a User can view Help Videos, FQAs, Hippo Campus and Announcements. (HV6-2434)
  • Users navigating to Zendesk should have an email address. As a Hippo/Zendesk user you need to enter your email address, if it's not already in hippo, so that Zendesk can create a user for you correctly. (HV6-2436)
  • Improve Design of Add Equipment Pop Up. We updated the Add Equipment popup to look more like the submit work order popup so that there is a more standard feel across the app. (HV6-2448)
  • Auth API. Auth service should have a refresh Token endpoint (Auth-3)
  • Auth API. Auth service should provide a new token from an existing valid token (Auth-18)

Enhancements and Addressed Issues

Advance View will now log in Google Analytics. This will allow Hippo Support to track speed times within the App. (HV6-2016)

Calendar View will now log in Google Analytics. This will allow Hippo Support to track speed times within the App. (HV6-2018)

As a Hippo User, when trying to go to the Hippo Zendesk site you should be redirected to the hippo login site and be able to use your regular login flow. This is so you don't have to have a separate username/password and/or create a new user to access Zendesk. (HV6-2305)

When A New User was created using an email address, the email was not populating into the email address field User Grid. Now the email address will populate into the email address field. (HV6-2343)

Equipment Model Types in Equipment Grid was showing duplicate choices. There should only be one choice for each. (HV6-2311)

A User was unable to edit on the Equipment Grid. After pressing save a User would see a saved failed warning. (HV6-2387)

New Features in Hippo CMMS 6.2.6

  • New SSO Users email will automatically populate. As a new SSO user, when you first sign into the app, your email address with be recorded so you don’t have to enter it manually. (HV6-2374)
  • Improved system monitoring and logging. (HV6-2384)
  • Auth API: Edit an SSO Provider to a new provider type (HV6-2214)
  • Auth API: View SSO Settings (HV6-2212)

Addressed Issues and Enhancements

Equipment Grid was taking to long to load. The Grid now loads faster with new changes, including a new dropdown box. (HV6-2264)

Mobile Users using ios 11 incognito mode, were unable to login to hippo. (HV6-2380)

Mobile Users using ios are being kicked to login page when they click on Work Orders. (HV6-2379)

Removing an association from a meter based PM was deleting reading from last completed PM for the remaining associations. (HV6-2360)

When parts were being transferred between facilities incorrect parts numbers were being transferred. (HV6-2330)

On Facility Screen, when selecting section names, the breadcrumb was not updated when you move to different floor plans. (HV6-2208)

When you create a new user with a User ID that is already in use, the pop would read “hippo had a hiccup”. Now the pop up with read “User with User ID ‘???’ already exists” (HV6-2112)

Incorrect Equipment filter on Current WO and Maintenance History Report. It should now read ‘Transferred Equipment’. (HV6-1810)

‘Status’ dropdown in equipment grid does not appear for Users that do not have equipment downtime module on. (HV6-2449)

  • St. Patrick Day Hippo Added a festive Hippo to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. (HV6-2071)
  • Filters for Equipment We have reworded the “Show all equipment” filter on Floor Plan. It now says “Equipment with WO”. It is now checked by default. If it is checked, only pieces of equipment with work orders should be displayed on the floor plan. (HV6-2323)
  • Filters for Location We have reworded the “Show all location” filter on Floor Plan. It now says “Locations with WO”. It is now checked by default. If it is checked, only pieces of equipment with work orders should be displayed on the floor plan (HV6-2324)

Addressed Issues and Enhancements

When a User saved a WO/PM with text entered in the Lockout Procedure and Job Hazards fields, the line breaks were lost when saving. When you opened the WO/PM the text was all merged together on one line. Now, when viewing a WO/PM, the line breaks are there. (HV6-1921)

User Grid Performance. The User grid was taking longer than expected to load. It now loads in under 3 seconds (HV6-2263)

When transferring parts from one Facility to another Facility, the quantity was not updating correctly. This has been fixed and quantities are updating correctly. (HV6-2256)

Users could not re-add a previously deleted user. This is as been addressed and a user can re-use a previously deleted user (HV6-2156)

RELEASE 6.2.4

Release February 20, 2018.

This article contains important information about the 6.2.4 release, released on February 20, 2018. Release 6.2.4 is a major release and is already in effect for all customers' systems that were previously on version 6.2.3.

New Features in Hippo CMMS 6.2.4

This section lists all the new features introduced by this release. The Feature ID is identified in bold.

  • Temporary lockout for multiple failed logins. As hippo support, we want users who log in unsuccessfully multiple times to get temporarily locked out so that we can better protect their accounts. (HV6-2205)
  • Mobile Work Orders. For Mobile website users, we organized the Work Order form. Some fields are now hidden by default in an expandable area so that the view is less cluttered and easier to read. (HV6-2197)
  • Google Analytics to Mobile Pages. As hippo support, we want to be able to track how long it takes for grids to load. We can now track how long it takes for Mobile pages to load. (HV6-2184)

When Equipment was marked as Inactive, it would disappear from plot equipment list but it would not disappear from the floorplan. Equipment will now automatically unplot floorplans when they are marked as inactive. (HV6-2206)

When a User removed a plotted facility and went back to unplotted facilities, they would not be able to see the Facility name in the list. User are now able to see unplotted facility in the Unplot name list. (HV6-1975)

When Equipment is marked “Inactive”, Users were still allowed to create Work Orders. Now, any Inactive Equipment will not show up in Equipment drop down box in Submit Work Order. (HV6-1926)

When creating a new User, the new User will now automatically have the Standard View Only permission in the General sections of the Enterprise page if the customer is a hipPro customer. (HV6-1504)

G Suite Single Sign On (SSO) button was not working and giving an error. This has now been rectified and is once again working. (HV6-2195)
