Eptura platform services

If your organization is using Eptura's platform services, your locations and users are centrally managed from Eptura Home:

The Asset Floor Plan Viewer will let you see where your assets are located on a floor plan.

Navigate to the Asset Floor Plan Viewer


Navigate to a global view

When you want to see the high-level portfolio view of all your buildings, click the Show Map button to take you to the viewer.

The Asset Floor Plan Viewer displays, the high-level view of your portfolio. Click the building to display the details card and this is where you can click a floor and the Asset Floor Plan Viewer displays. Note that floors with no floor plans are grayed out.

Navigate to a specific location

When you want to navigate to a specific location.

  1. From the menu, click Assets and Asset Management screen displays.
  2. From the (A) Location Selector, select a location.
  3. Click the (B) Show Map button to take you to the viewer.

  • (A) Location selector - Use the selector to choose a different building and/or floor. Note that floors with no floor plans are grayed out.
  • (B) Search assets - You will be able to search for the asset and this will take you directly to the asset.
  • (C) Show Grid - Click the button to return to the Asset Management grid.
  • (D) Asset Filters - This lets you filter the assets list by Asset Type, No space assigned, or No cordinates assigned.
  • (E) Asset List Item -The Asset List Item displays details about individual assets. The location icon in the Asset List Item indicates the location status of the asset:

  • Asset is assigned to the floor.
  • Asset is not assigned to a space.
  • Asset does not have coordinates.

Asset is not shown on the floor plan.

  • Asset is assigned to the floor.
  • Asset may or may not be assigned to a space.
  • Asset has coordinates.

Asset is shown on the floor plan with an asset badge.

  • (F) Floor Plan Viewer Controls - Use the zoom in or out icons or you can use your mouse wheel to zoom in and out. Additionally, you can click and drag the floor plan to move (pan) it around.
  • (G) Legend Panel - This displays the asset types and counts.

Using the Asset Floor Plan Viewer


Associate an asset with a specific location on the floor plan

Complete the following:

  1. From the Asset list, click the asset item's handle.

  1. Drag and drop it to the desired location on the floor plan.

  1. A marker representing the asset location will be added.

Associate an asset with a space without knowing the exact location

Complete the following:

  1. Hold down the CTRL key and then from the Asset list, click the click the asset item's handle.

  1. Drag and drop it on the desired space on the floor plan.

  1. A badge representing the assets associated with the space will be added/updated.

Select an Asset Marker

When you select an Asset Marker on the floor plan, the Asset Details panel displays.

Select an Asset Badge

When you select an Asset Badge on the floor plan, the Asset Details panel displays. This contains a list of assets associated with the selected badge.

Move an Asset or Assets to another location


When you need to move an asset (or assets) to a different location, then you will need to change the location in the Asset Management module, see Move an Asset.

High-Level Global View


When you are using the Asset Floor Plan Viewer, you can change the view to see a high-level look at your buildings.

Complete the following:

  1. The Location Selector can be changed to All Locations, and this takes you up to a map view and displays all your buildings.
  2. Click the building to display the details card.
  3. This is where you can click a floor and the Asset Floor Plan Viewer displays. Note that floors with no floor plans are grayed out.
